Profile of NCHU
南昌航空大学创建于1952年，位于 “英雄城”江西省南昌市，占地面积3000余亩，拥有3个学区；是一所面向全国招生，以工为主，工、理、文、管、经、法、教育等多学科协调发展的多科性大学；是江西省人民政府与工业和信息化部共建的具有鲜明航空国防特色的高等院校。学校现有20个学院，63个本科专业，其中5个国家级特色专业，8个省级特色专业，1个国家级专业综合改革试点项目，6个省级专业综合改革试点项目；拥有15个一级学科硕士点、67个二级学科硕士点。学校现有教职工2000余人，其中专任教师1274人；具有博士学位教师430人、硕士学位教师735人，约占专任教师总数的91%；博士生导师30人，硕士生导师630余人。另有双职双聘中国科学院院士和中国工程院院士5人。学校现有全日制在校生2.3万人，学校非常重视重点学科建设，现有省级重点学科10个、江西省重中之重学科1个、国防重点学科1个、教育部重点实验室1个、国防学科重点实验室1个、中国航天科技重点实验室2个、省级重点实验室（研究中心）8个。
Nanchang Hangkong University (NCHU), founded in 1952, is located in “hero city” Jiangxi Nanchang, covers an area of over 3,000mu, and has three campuses. It is an engineering-based multidisciplinary university which aims at a well-balanced development of multiple disciplines including engineering, science, humanities, management, economics, law and education. It is a higher education institution with a distinctive feature of aeronautics and astronautics and national defense under the joint leadership of People’s Government of Jiangxi Province and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. NCHU now has 20 schools, 63 undergraduate majors, including 5 state-level featured majors, 8 provincial-level featured majors, 1 state-level major comprehensive reform pilot project and 6 provincial-level major comprehensive reform pilot projects; it has 15 first-grade and 67 second-grade master disciplines. NCHU now has a faculty and staff of over 2000 people, among whom, over 1274 full-time teachers. There are 430 teachers with doctor’s degree and 735 teachers with master’s degree, accounting for about 91% of total full-time teachers; there are 30 doctoral supervisors and 630 master supervisors, as well as 5 academicians of Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) and Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). At present, NCHU has more than 23 thousand in-school full-time students. NCHU attaches great importance to the construction of key disciplines, now having 10 provincial level key disciplines with separate key disciplines at National Defense level, 1 key National Defense discipline, 1 key laboratory established by Ministry of Education, 1 key laboratory of national Defense, 2 key laboratories of China Aviation Technology, and 8 provincial-level key laboratories (research centers).
学校大力推进国际合作与交流工作。先后与美国、英国、加拿大、法国、澳大利亚、日本、瑞典、乌克兰、韩国等国家和台湾地区的高等院校建立了稳定的校际合作关系。学校与国外很多大学开展中外合作教育项目，共有中外合作项目学生1400余人。学校积极发展来华留学工作，学校为中国政府奖学金来华留学生培养院校，其来华留学教育管理工作多次获得上级表彰。目前，学校有来自美国、法国、孟加拉、尼泊尔、巴基斯坦、印度、泰国、肯尼亚、赞比亚、尼日利亚等33个国家的250多名外国留学生，为他们开设了航空工程、土木工程、计算机科学与技术、软件工程和工商管理等英文授课专业，目前我校还开设了英文授课硕士课程。学校可以为来我校学习的优秀留学生提供各类奖学金: 中国政府来华留学奖学金、江西省政府外国留学生奖学金和南昌航空大学外国留学生奖学金。我们热忱欢迎世界各国的留学生来南昌航空大学学习。
NCHU vigorously promotes the international cooperation and exchange, and has successively established stable cooperative relationship with higher institutions in the US, the UK, Canada, France, Australia, Japan, Sweden, Ukraine, Korea, and Taiwan. NCHU develops Sino-foreign cooperative education projects with many foreign universities, having more than 1400 students engaged in the cooperative project. NCHU actively develops international students program, and it is one of the universities designated by the Ministry of Education of P.R.China to admit International students under Chinese Government Scholarships Program, and the international students program obtained superior recognition for many times. Now the number of international students has reached over two hundred and fifty, coming from the US, France, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, India, Thailand, Kenya, Zambia, Nigeria, altogether 33 countries. And we offered English-taught majors like Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering and Business Administration. Currently, NCHU has started Master Degree Programs taught in English. We also offer various kinds of scholarship for excellent international students studying in our University: Chinese Government Scholarship for International Students, Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students and NCHU Scholarship for International Students. 奖学金项目介绍
Introduction to Scholarship Projects
1、《丝绸之路》和自主招生中国政府奖学金项目
1. Chinese Government Scholarship project for The Silk Road and independent recruitment
通过项目申报我校每年获得一定数量的《丝绸之路》中国政府奖学金名额，此名额只能用于项目指定的招生对象，目前主要招收与我校开展1+3项目孟加拉学生。自主招生中国政府奖学金名额主要用于招收硕士研究生。
By virtue of project application, NCHU will obtain certain candidates of Chinese Government Scholarship for The Silk Road every year, which can be only used for recruited objects designated by the project. Currently, we mainly recruit Bangladeshi students carrying out 1+3 project with us. The candidates of Chinese Government Scholarship are mainly used for recruiting master students.
2、南昌航空大学外国留学生奖学金项目
2. NCHU Scholarship project for international students
1) 新生奖学金项目
1) Freshmen Scholarship project
从2018年秋季入学开始，新报到学生在交清第一年所有费用后，可享受免第二年学费奖学金。
Since the entrance in Autumn 2018, after paying off all the expenses for the first year, the newly-registered students may enjoy the scholarship for exemption of the tuition for the second year.
2) 老生奖学金项目
2) Seniors Scholarship project
该奖学金项目分为一、二、三等奖学金。学生从第三年开始，可参评该奖学金。
The scholarship project consists of first-class, second-class and third-class scholarship. Students may participate in the appraisal for the scholarship since the third year.
3、江西省政府外国留学生奖学金项目
3. Jiangxi Provincial Government scholarship project for international students
主要用于招收本科和硕士外国留学生新生。
Mainly used for recruiting freshmen of undergraduate and master programs.
申请人要求和条件
Requirements and Conditions for Applicants
1.申请人必须是非中国公民，必须遵守中华人民共和国法律，入校后必须遵守校纪校规；
1. Applicant must be non-Chinese citizen, obey laws of the People’s Republic of China, and abide by rules and disciplines of NCHU after enrolled;
2.申请就读本科专业的必须是22周岁以下，身体健康，品学兼优的高中生；
2. Applicant of undergraduate program must be senior high school students under the age of 22 with healthy body and excellent character and learning;
3.申请就读硕士专业的必须是30周岁以下，身体健康，品学兼优的本科生
3. Applicant of master program must be undergraduate students under the age of 30 with healthy body and excellent character and learning.
4.申请就读汉语授课专业的学生汉语水平（HSK）必须达到4级以上，如果汉语达不到HSK4级，或者汉语为零基础，来校补习或学习汉语一年，学生申请专业为我校所有非涉密本科专业；申请就读英语授课的专业的学生的英文水平必须具备较强的听、说、读、写能力，能顺利地阅读本专业的课本与资料。本科专业学习时间为4年，硕士专业学习时间为3年。
4. Applicant of Chinese-taught majors must reach level 4 and above for HSK. If the applicant does not reach level 4 for HSK or does not understand any Chinese, he/she may come to us for one-year Chinese study. The majors applied for are all the non-secret-involved undergraduate majors of our University. Students applying for English-taught majors must be proficient in English listening, speaking, reading and writing, and able to successfully read the textbooks and materials for the major. Length of schooling for undergraduate majors is 4 years, and that for master majors is 3 years.
